Aalambana

in the earthly life one has really become a slave or bonded labor , in bandhana, of every sort

relations exist from birth to death by default, 
since prani is a social animal

and every relation makes one tied into entanglements,

involves money, obligations many, ,
with restrictions, strictures, dictating dos donts , 
with individual's and societal value system, duties, responsibilities,

most difficult to avoid, cannot be got rid of easily, 
limits one's freedom, limits one's joy of living , 
steals away one's god given birth right of life in mukthi .

so human seeks ways and means , an aalambana , to regain his original freedom

in search of freedom, human stumbles up on every kind of avenues ranging from the best to the worst , each appearing to promise the heaven that he is seeking for

it can be any thing or many things , like smoking, drinking, movie, sport ,art, music, dance, drugs, devotion, reading, lectures, bhajans puja, sumiran, japa, pilgrimage, festivals, celebrations, rituals, or social networking, ,friends circles, clubs, pubs, parties, associations, spiritual masters, sathsangs, tours, picnics, pilgrimages ,,even prostitution, live in relationships, each having its own merits and demerits

the point to be noted is that aspiration/ urge./desire to live a life in freedom is genuine,

but the ways selected lands one into another kind of slavery / fetters though of gold

seeker approaches master for liberation, but remains chained to the dictates of master ending up doing what he says

it is to be noted that need for some relief from bondage does exist for any person,

relief acts like a jhoola, with long strings from a tree , so that human enjoys a freedom , lifting oneself and going a little up ad above from the earth . it is a aalambana, one takes it's little support and swings to his heart's content for hours, in the garden enjoying the fresh air, listening to the chirruping birds and seeing vast sky and generous greenery

similarly in the spiritual realm, the episodes of krishna leelas, give relief and takes one free from earth plane, even the very name krishna serving as the reliable aalambana like a jhoola

but in reality it is a small gain. since, it gives a just limited freedom, one hanging on the nama rupa mahima aspects, does not become totally fulfilled , will not become totally muktha

what is required is not a jhoola for life long but a total freedom like one flying free in the high sky with no contact with earth plane, that is the absolute freedom

1.........not to hang on to a sthoola alambana , but to move forward to subtle and to subtlest and be free from even the subtlest aalambana is the wisdom to gain the absolute freedom ..... so krishna advises......''puja koti samam stotram stotra koti samo japah

japa koti samam dhyaanam dhyanakoti samolayah

In a conversation of krishna and arjun,krishna said

the result that we get by performing

karod pujas is equal to performing of 1 stotra,

karod stotras is equal to 1 japa,

karod japas is equal to1 dhyaan

karodo dhyaan is equal to 1 mano layah.

2...... more it is a self referral .one wants to be most intimate to his own self .

so saints have chosen their deity or some have addressed to their own self ...
