Sir
i have close association with babas , i learnt what they taught
i practiced i got benefited immensely

social service requires pure hearts overflowing with love
automatically service happens , i do serve also , but
without the yoga i would have not stepped out from my professional life of ''pay perks promotions ''
ashrams flourish since , babas do not want it , followers need them

my suggestion is get a direct feel by participation , not by opinion from others/ or observing as an outsider

ignorance is challenging, do not understimate its help , it makes us to strive and find a way out to gyan jyoyhi

View of Yāska that the knowledge residing in human beings is '' impermanent,'' is not correct, since , rsis too are human beings , rsis have expressed that which is residing in them ,heard from their inside only
he does not distinguish between surface/intellectual created knowledge which is impermanent, and the eternal knowledge that resides beyond the intellect
this proves that he lacks the experience of para kshethra,brahman.... consequently failed to give a truthful opinion on apaurusheyatva of vedas
so sankara excels

View of Mīmāmsākas: Mīmāṃsā treats the Veda as a Dharmaśāstra
''..., seems in a way correct, since veda is a compendium of various laws of dharma, like how nature is functioning, how human has to function

however ‘’words were self-sufficient in authority.’is also seems correct , since these vedic words are not just a play in plain vocabulary but they are links to the knowledge that is existing in compact/ compressed fashion , and each word/ phrase/ expression can unfold enormous wisdom when read by a intelligent reader

these words are of sanskrit , which itself a revealed language, the words , the grammar are not just fabricated by a literary genius ,so words themselves hold the knowledge of the thing they are describing

...........since vyasa is a great rsi, even this statement is as true as the veda, as rsis say what they have ''heard''
but , since brahman is the source of everything , everything that is created by any human or any being too can be deduced as apaurusheya using the same premise ,..... this may be utterly fallacious ,
so logic fails,
since logic fails, logic cannot be a tool for ascertaining truth
so , instead of relying on logic, even that of vyasa, one must rely on ''that ''which lead vyasa to proclaim so
and ''that'' is the tapasya, only a tapasvi can testify apurusheyathva of veda , not others

.......this happens since the followers stop questioning struck by the ''aura '' of their favorite sage who generally will be at a higher level in his vision than the followers.. so they simply glorify, rather than verify.
''(apauruṣeya) would safeguard the Vedas against all reproach.'
........rather , vedas , if apaurusheya in the truest sense, will never get lost, ....''losing'' happens due to the inability of the generations to raise themselves to the level of vedic rsis. since the nature of nature is to create a few individuals in every generation who strive to that level and do a rediscovery of vedas again and again, not by just repeating/reciting

every student of veda is required to strive to rise thru similar tapasya to become the sacred instrument in the hands of nature

.................If you have to learn Vedanta, the single vital requirement is the doing of tapasya exactly like the vedic rsis did
nothing is a precondition for reaching the level of vedic rsis , simply intense tapasya reveals all
no need of accepting apaurusheya, nor study of vedas, but tapasya validates the apaurusheyatva, and that's it

"Vital, fine distinction on the relative value the technique, and ‘Bhāva’. , i am in wonderthanks also for intro on Nirupamā and Rājendra and amazing Dr. Minati Mishra, however, i am puzzled on experiencing and conveying bhava.while enacting a role, the artist and the character should merge?if character is in pathos, deep sorrow and suffering, should the actor undergo these?if character is a drunken state, should the actor become dizzy really?and in the extreme case,[ i am silly ] if character is dying/falling dead, should the actor die/fall dead really?no, i feel , for best results the actor should be untouched by the character, be a witness/ separate from the role and as a benefit of learning acting, the actor must rise in life to see it as a drama, s/he being just an uninvolved witness, yet doing the life-role magnificently"

Cognition/knowledge remains’’...........so it delineates what is valuable and what is not, and takes one out from illusions of spiritual attainments based on ‘’experiences’’, like unusual visions apparitions /images/noises/messages/coincidences, and resultant mixed feelings/emotions leading them to relate with bhakthi/ista devatha etc , missing the ‘’Cognition/knowledge’’ they might have/ have not stumbled up on , hence, resultant glorification of mysticism.‘’That is what I have been telling all along - 'anubhava' is not a 'pramana', it is subjective, differs from person to person, and cannot be passed on.……..…yes, perfectly reasonable, most important to distinguish what to really learn from the great souls, separating the biography[ it may have due place as an inspiration], and person-specific ‘’miracles’’ and only getting at the insights they have gained and expressed, which only can enrich the wisdom . ‘’Knowledge is obtained through Pramana - 'Valid means of knowledge'’’………..yes, for this one himself should be able to gain access to the field within ie ’’satyam gnyanam anantam ‘’nice to read details on navarasas, and their adoption ‘’Bharata’s “Nātyasāstra has only eight rasas’’……….this appears right, since he is a rsi, who did see’’rasovaisaha’’, and has no confusion Ānandavardhana being an aesthetician, not a rsi, might have given only an extrapolation, but its own beauty, and relating shantha with mukthi in his own way, I too tend to differ with him, but I like to read it .Similarly Abhinavagupta the famous Polymath , not a rsi, must have simply liked it and felt like adding it as 9 th rasaMy comments are just my gut feeling, but advaitin ‘s stand appeals me more.Shantha/ rasovaisah state it tallies with ‘’gap value / sandhi‘’ by some people, like the ‘’carrier wave ‘’ in electronics, over which 8 rasas have their play , ‘’This last para has enough feed for me ‘’I am not sure whether the purpose of the aesthetician/s is to take the connoisseurs from the experience to cognition, but I have never seen it happening. Cognition is different. And it is only after cognition that one can appreciate the aesthetics’’’’ This para has a lot for me to think and comment, I like to explore in detail ......after a pause , pranams"

"Yes, i agree on essence . but our terminology is not as precise as is required to make our talk straight to the point the key requirement is the experience of settled state of consciousness, also termed as the least excited state of consciousness, state of stillness,it is the state of perfect orderliness, no chaos, zero entropy , unmanifest, absolute, parabrahman, the state of union, yoga kshethra once this state gets stabilized in our daily living , we become yogastha, then we start seeing the deeper implications of vedic utterances, and start living that wisdom in our thinking talking and walking ..hence every effort is to be invested in gaining this level in this state, there are lot more things will be discovered, and one's life rises to '' the best'' possible level with all virtues unfolding in one's character, without negativity or conflicts with any one or any thing in the universe i hope we have reconciled fully lets enjoy , even if joy be mithya , thank you"

"I concur, on your views on ''Most people......Most of the time ,, seeing chaos which is mithya'' also , I concur on your reasoning that they are just ''repeating'' without getting the implication of vedic wisdom into their life. because of this very reason, one has to pick up the ''road map'' and do ''the journey'' and attain the same ability of vedic sages to see '' the perfect order '', until and unless this ability is gained, one ''continue to see entropy and will continue to vibrate to chaos.so please note that this journey and all the efforts of HH and Swaminiji is no mithya, but a requirement to make one and all to rise to the experience of perfect order, ie to see ''chaos as mithya''"

"You have the answer in your question itself ie, ''An aura can only influence the other if the other is ready/ able to receive it ''.right.btw, this blog has an aura, but i see the responses varying from very profound to very frivolous, for the same reason , Meera with her powerful aura could not influence her family or the people in her statereminds me vivekanand regretting that he could not help his closest kins in any way but we know his aura thru reading a few lines in his tiny book ''thus spake vivekanda'', we did not meet him , but this book has influenced me in my youth so much that it is become a powerful shield protecting against all the temptations i did not read much on his ''complete works of...'', i feel it is not necessary for me, since i got what i need to get ...such is one of the indicators of aura"

The Veda says, “na vittena tarpaniiyo manushyaha” – “man is not satisfied by any amount of wealth” (Kat: 1:1:27). This can be extended to the other two goals also."
