Gunadhya's Brihatkatha
During Satavahana period Gunadhya sat down to
write the story mammoth .
He wrote seven lakh stories in his own blood
in colloquial paisachi prakrit.
The king is a lover of classical Sanskrit
refused dedication.
Gunadhya was desperate.
He kindled fire and offered stories to the fire God.
He, his disciples and all life animate and inanimate
shed tears.
By the time the King came to know this,
six lakh stories were consumed by fire.
The King ran up and saved one lakh stories.
That is the story Brihatkatha left to us.
the greatness of great
gets tested by his treat to the smallest
