yathaa poorve 

Om sangachchhadhwam samvadadhwam samvomanansi janatam. Deva bhagam yatha poorve sanjanana upaste. Rigveda 10/191/2

O Citizens! Live in harmony and concord. Be organized and co-operative. Speak with one voice and make your resolutions with one mind, as your ancient saints and seers, leaders and preceptors have performed their duties righteously, similarly, may you not falter in executing your duties.

 

-----yatha poorve-----meaning ---as earlier, as original, as previous, as the source, as the pure state 

in this vedic richa of rigved, this is a law of nature
cicrcle is symbolic, it can be to and fro
up and down , like a train, like a plane, like a rain , it can be curved, zigzag, spherical cylindrical, straight, triangular, or any polygon 

point is it is from present state to previous state --is the full perspective that great vedic expressions provide to understand the ways of the natures function, 
fromm seed to seed, 
from here to here , from i to i 
essencially it is from manifest to unmanifet 
from thamasma to jyothi
from mruthyu to amruth
from ignorance to knowledge
from bondage to freedom 
i can expand infinitely

from finite to infinite

All travel is from present imperfection to perfection

from lower consciousness to supreme consciousness

from manhood to godhood 

And rishis have understood the entirety thus and expressed the truth in a universal , whole sale way which can be detailed and retailed to apply in time space frame 
this is an example of how veda is to be understood, how its universality truth to be perceived

only this bit --yatha purve--contains the natures law in its seed form 
and such knowledge is possible to be perceived only one has direct the experience of the unmanifest otherwise the intellectuals , book worms can not know its truth thru simple plain translation as given in the above post , missing the world of knowledge it conveys / contains
