Propelled by his pure original fancy , it may be willy-nilly ,or even silly
some one scribbles a few zig-zag lines on a piece of paper
and does a few random strokes on it with his worn out schooldays brush, and long expired color paints,
and looking at it enjoys for a moment , and then simply throws away that '' waste '' paper and walks out for a nice cup of tea
that paper flies afar in the wind and accidentally lands in the hands of a wandering art critic,
he , looking at it , stops in flabbergast .
he sees and sees again and for minutes and hours,
preserves it, frames it , shows to others, carries to an art exhibition,
and lo !
it is appraised, praised, prized, and valued as a master piece
it becomes the talk of the town, all wondering who can be that genius master artist
the talk reaches the man who made it ,
curious, with great expectation, the man wants to see that great painting , goes to that exhibition
and stands in the queue with all the patience, and finally gets a glimpse of it
it is his own ''waste paper''
he shouts 'Bakwaas., bakwaas, bakwaas ..
all the art connoisseurs there promptly, and courteously, and sympathetically
guide him out of the hall , and advised him to go home and take rest.
I am surprised to learn that it happened in reality in the case of tagore,
there are two ways of looking at one's output/ creation
1 to feel happy and be in love with it what may be the quality of it , like in telugu ''kaki pilla kakiki muddu''...crow 's child is dearest to crow, it's a mothers love,
it is said that there is a secrete love affair between a writer and his writings .......so in my case , i like my own writings more , i make them in such a loving care
2 other way is, like with tagore, to see it dispassionately and see its inadequacies and areas of improvements and move forward in creating much better piece continuously and trying to reach the impossible ''the perfection '' in the output , here one discounts his output and treats as bukwass,
3 similar thing applies with respect to others output , so we find for the same piece there are likes from some and dislikes from some others
4 best is to learn and grow , nonstop, despite praise or denigration
5 but one must be true to oneself , not to do flattery nor to reject outright with biased view
thanks, for inspiring me
