Known is just a drop, unknown is a vast ocean
and it baffles any sincere seeker even to dare venturing into the infinite field of knowledge
since the thirst for knowledge is unquenchable, however much one tries to master at least even a single branch of knowledge in his entire life, working hard most sincerely and persistently .
then this leads to the eternal puzzle, on what can be the possible solution to successfully master all the infinite ocean of knowledge to really quench the thirst, and to become a truly knowledgeable person who will be able to say authentically, that ''i know '' with ultimate authority without a trace of confusion or enigma, without any mist or mystery or any question left unanswered, that too in a limited 100 years of existence
this leads one to two options
1The first option is ------since it appears to be the most difficult, rather appears to be impossible to acquire significant mastery, an earnest seeker will simply drop the further efforts and wastes his life as an ignorant , even though he must have acquired good number of degrees and doctorates from reputable universities, by burning midnight oil, and sacrificing the usual necessities and comforts
2the second option is-----for the same reasons of difficulties and impossibilities, yet another intelligent seeker will address the whole issue from the root level and finds out a way out and persists in his efforts and comes out with flying colors, with the successful achievement of the title ‘’the knower‘’
And it is people like shankara who chose that second option, strove and stood as the eternal lights for the humanity from generations to generations
What exactly is the thing day did which others failed even in venturing
Shankara has answered this question thru his life and teachings
We shall discuss to know how he tackled this impossibility truly and what steps and solutions he found and adopted to reach the state of ‘’I know ‘’ unmistakably beyond any doubt
Though reading of all the scriptures will not give the total knowledge , which is oceanic,
they do give clues to treading further , and enable one to become an unflinchingly enthusiastic
till he discovers and owns the whole knowledge
some clues are
1 what is that little thing to be known knowing which every thing becomes known
2 knowledge has infinite layers of existence,
3 truth has infinite dimensions
4 knowing thru being
5 knowledge is like a flower , gyana prasoonam
6 knowledge is structured in consciousness
1 what is that little thing to be known knowing which every thing becomes known
i do not know who raised this intelligent question, but it has great potential
and our ancient teachers mainly dealt on this vital question and did find a valid answer , thru which one is able to become ''kevalam gyaana moorthim, '', shattering all the sanshayas thru mouna vyaakhyanam
and what is that ?
that is the 4 th state of consciousness , turia chethana
2 knowledge has infinite layers of existence,
what are these layers
these are from surfaceto the deepest core
knowledge at one layer is valid only for that layer, not for other level
at the grossest level knowledge is material,
or material is solidified knowledge
at the subtlest it is at atomic / sub atomic / nuclear / matter fields /force Fields
at the beyond subtlest level it is the pure consciousness
''One who thinks he Knows actually does not Know …….''
yes, true
since thinking level is a limited level, cannot grasp totally, may lead one to wrong conclusions
so
One who experiences actually Knows ……
1 but a few rarest of rare individuals like prophet mohammad, pbuh , have known much more on allah than other common folk and presented great wisdom the holy quran , and as a result , gems like 99 names of allah describe their close intimacy
2 also many other saints have come out with their profound insights in the form of several hadiths
3 of course, there may be a lot much more than known so far, and insaan will continue his march to know more and more eternally
