1 dream is one of the 4 states of consciousness. wake, dream, sleep, turia

2 dream also means to imagine / formulate a target, a plan a course of action, to actualize, some times unrealistic or impossible , a futuristic extrapolation, overcoming the limitations of the waking state

3 day dream is semi conscious, mind trying to relax while still active on a task, a part of attention getting passive, a person driving a vehicle, may cause accident in while in day dreaming

4 dream also a synonym for unreal, mithya ,

5 dream can be a creative design exercise for a engg solution, designers see a problem and perceive different solutions , brain storm, without limitations, and select a possible earthly solution, thus invent some zig fixture tool

7 dream is a process to create shapes out of the mind, that serving as a universal molding material,

42 even when one is fed up with dreams'..........yet god continues the cleaning operation , sleep is his anesthesia, let the process happen ,but to accelerate the cleaning intensive practice of meditation helps

45  ‘’i dont dream, i cant dream’’ …one cannot .at will , since ‘’will’’ is asleep , dream happens or does not happen as per the system requirement, duration of dream too … stomach upset or any such signals indicate that either system is getting strained beyond elastic limit, crossing/violating swadharma, so some regulatory action may be required….or… nature is carrying repair/rejuvenation, ….best to allow

A dreamless deep sleep indicates good health and purity

More profound is the ability of Witnessing the sleep and dream, ie when one is deep asleep or in a dream, one comes to know that he is sleeping, or dreaming, he can hear his snoring/ watch his breath , he can continue /discontinue the dream/sleep and wake up as per will , here will is not asleep

That means he has conquered sleep, ie he has attained mastery over one of the 4 survival instincts of nature , …nidra, aahara, bhaya maithuna

While On earth plane , Even in waking state, one unconsciously enters in a reverie, even ethereal , mind in silent dialog with internal ista devatha or with one’s beloved

Creative individuals writers/ poets /artists  create their dream consciously and wantedly driven by the inclination of imagination/ and dwell in that virtual world like kalidas, and give expression to their visit and visions

46  dream experiences may be similar with different individuals, but may / may not be for the same reasons/ causes, comparing may not be advisable.  Analysis of dreams may be /may not be precise.  One’s own feel / conclusion is authentic , and valid for oneself, since dream is a very very personal matter , it is in fact an affair with god, in surrenderful-ness 

 For a growing star performer,, praise misleads,

praise may be a well considered assessment, or just casual formality, or just not to displease, not to pick quarrel, just for mutual good, 

truth is though not pleasing some times, appears as criticism ''king going naked'' helps the king and others to wake up, praise is an intoxication, a veil, an obstruction for growth, one remains alpa santoshi 

But i find some masters , and some master bloggers look only for 

praise, head count, not the content of heads, 

they resent criticism, feel leg-pulling,

if a different angle of truth is shown by a stray reader , not liked by their limited grasp

brand him as ''absurd, ''egoist,''vagabond, ''useless, ''stone, ''arrogant,'' impudent'

they remain immune for suggestions for improvement, 

assuming that their merit is assessed by praises

they go in the same grove, no growth, though time is passing, 

though innumerable suggestions pour in into their every blog 

i find real growth is missing 

but only praise for them is growing 

like in the story 

''some monkeys around a glow worm , assuming that is fire, 
and trying hard to light the fire, 
to basking themselves in the cold around it , 
and when a rabit who tells the truth that it is not fire, 
they hound it and kill it ''

 Attention is the most valuable possession

attention has two characteristics, outward and inward

outward attention is branching, splitting, widening, , expanding, thinning, weakening,

inward attention is collecting, uniting ,contracting, thickening, strengthening ,

both are natural attributes , having their application as appropriate

I said attention is power , it is the ability to canalizing the energy

eg awareness is split in playing tabala to two hands, and the energy is delivered in strong or weak doses on both tabala and baaya and at different times in laya, like thali and khali, with more and with less strong strokes

one learns this splitting of attention ,and in the time frame and gives the various types of thaals, and in madhya laya, druth laya etc

here he is not uniform or strong in the beam of attention but divides splits breaks, at will weakens it, strengthens it , and with speed .

when zakeer hussain accompanies a sitar, his ears are receiving, his hands are delivering , some times eyes are at the audience, some times at sitar player, some times closed .

he is the expert in handling attention , to weaken or strengthen hence the relevance of my word weakening

eg

if he is weakening at thali, then his performance is dull

if he is strengthening at khaali , he is wrong also

so the art is nothing but mastery over attention

and life is art

1 tasks becomes too taxing, since exhausted / weakened by over-spending,

so ,'' stand at ease '' is the intelligent command to get it back again

2 the one who has connected with his source can perform without relenting with the same enthusiasm, here the fountain is open, so spending is replenished continuously, hence the joy riders and pilots even workaholics persist in hours of performance

3 mastery over attention makes the activity self driven automatic, effortless, untiring

4 on a painting'/drawing/ any art, value is proportional to the attention given to the detail and the perspective

career growth is dependent on more attentive contribution than just attendance signing

5 relevant are two phrases

pay attention=spending of our wealth

seek attention=earning from others wealth

and such other phrases

1 the one strong beam of attention from individual being

branches and goes out thru all organs of perception and action ,

and also from every particle of body, like an aura

in fact it goes out like the rays from a burning wood , in different quantities from its surface , some in large beams in one direction, and some in small feeble beams, and some with least strong beam in other directions

in all beings maximum attention goes out thru eyes

why sarvendriaanam nayanam pradhanam

and the beams of lower intensity goes thru limbs, senses, skin, hair, nails

in the hair, and nails it is the least intense , weak

the moment one looks at the star, first the attention goes to the star in instant

[[correct me, it may be faster than light, since it is all pervasive ?? ]

and then the signal enters instantly thru eyes

so it is both ways , to and fro, in and out going

1 spending of attention must be economical , should not be wasted

2 once attention is spent one becomes exhausted and tired

3 hence for economizing , closing the eyes now and then , when not using , helps

4 for recharging one must go inward

5 hence all our traditions have been to close the eyes, do some meditation, get the system charged and come out to spend again

5.1 i surmise , but pl confirm, in doing folded hands namasthe, we just reduce the outflow,

to reduce thru feet we wear some wooden/leather footwear, paduka,

6 games for children are to develop multi tasking, by learning handling of awareness thru all limbs

giving the best classical renderings well articulated

with melodious ,mellifluous voice,

in perfect sync with accompanying tabala, fiddle ,

and all the nice instruments and players

he was a well acknowledged pandit,

with  a very good record of performance

his concerts were thronged by huge listeners

with taste for good music 

 

and also there was an intelligent student of music attending these concerts,

with an alert ear, listening and enjoying with great relish, mostly in just silence

though there was occasional applause from the rest.

 

Amidst the silence, when all audience were lulled into ‘sleep’,

probably by the singer singing probably in some ‘dream’, so to say,

and went into----- apashruthi,--- but ---never noticed by others,----

this man suddenly, unexpected, used to say

 

‘wah wah, kyabath hai, bahooth khoob’

 

and audience, as if an uncontrollable involuntary response, used to shower thunders of claps, knowing not what exactly was the enthralling beauty that made this one fellow to burst into such loud praise

 

and the singer, becoming aware of  the inadvertent apashruthi that happened,

but flabbergasted with the undeserved applause,

used to go red in face,

not knowing whether to chide this fellow for such mischief,

or to thank him for pointing out the flaw, in an intelligent manner, and helping to improve the performance,

not knowing whether he is pulling the legs, or stretching helping hands

In various matters of life there remains a combination of science and art

----since, human personality is a total package 
consisting of all the infinite components,
each individual is a scientist, an artist, a seer, a poet , a dancer, a singer, a god, a devil, a dr jekil, a mr hide ---all coexisting , but some get activated , some remain dormant as per occasion, context, need, cause etc

Also for the same inputs, different individuals respond in different ways

for example, if one hears a song, a recitation of a poem, audience responds differently , some become fans, some just listen and forget
also, for the same inputs, the same individual responds differently depending on the situation/ internal or external conditions 
for example if a movie is seen, first time it will be exciting , likable, but if seen again it may not be that appealing 

And when a song is heard, an individual responds in multi-modes, 
the scientist in him sees the sa re ga ma aspect of it and nodes at the precision displayed
the poet in him looks at the lyric/ the bhava /meaning and says wah 
the mystique in him enjoys the song , forgetting the earthly plane for a while

there will not be a situation when art alone is seen or science alone is appreciated,

First , direct flight, jet plane super fast, nonstop forward journey to the ultimate destination , without any kind of chain pulling, refueling, accidents, or chakkars in the sky, and reaching the lap of paramathma, in shortest time-----thru guru krupa----and then 

on the return journey --oh, ah, ---what a great wonderous encounters---, pause here, no problem, skip no problem

And this return journey is the life of real enjoyment --all with body, senses, mind, subtle mind--
all the grossest to the subtlest creation at every station, every step, every moment , the stop overs are great, enjoyable, all a feast, all a festival

Here are the lokas, all the devathas, kinnera kimpurushas, gandharvas, rishis, apsarasas, all singing, dancing, ever care free,
talk to them, play with them see their dance listen to their song , acquire their boons enjoy their mahimas

Here comes the relevance of allegory

they created their darshanas, kaavyaas, prabhandas, romantics epics drama poetry song dance even drawings paintings pictures, sculptures, statues , moorthis, temples, gopuras, thheeraths, gardens, brindavans,

They all invited the higher beings to stay and live a midst our lives , in our bodies , in our minds , in our souls , in our living, in our cultures customs traditions, literature philosophies episodes , our sayings in our walk in our talk

And glorified the mundane into a happy heaven

but the same stations , on the return journey is lovely enjoyment , bliss unending, all mastery no thing to worry or care

so this point to be noted by all serious souls

to the topmost level even, all thru our alert, wise, timely actions , with alacrity, with a working life of 100 years.

some rise. some stay stuck, some commit mistakes,

and what happens to us as consequence is due to our own actions

2  some vehicle hits, though we are safe in driving, though we are not involved,earth quake may kill us. rain does not come, sunami, floods, disasters occur
however ,here too we are responsible to what happens to us, and every where 

since, 

we did not learn and know how to do the right action at the right rime, so that all these can be predicted, so we could escape, so that all these bad happennings are prevented, and do not happen at all 
 

but ignorance of law is no excuse

3  one falls in the water, dies--he did not learn
other falls in the water, swims, survives, even enjoys a dip in water

---he is a master, over water 

4 we are meant to be masters by learning the art of becoming the master, and command the universe at will

5 our traditions taught this wisdom, to enable us to become master, not to be a football at the situations and circumstances, just being a helpless creature 

we lost that great education, hence we try to pass the buck cleverly on all externals , fate, god, colleague, neighbor, govt, god for all our own deficiencies
