 in Hinduism!

The concept of 33 koti devata in Hinduism:

 The Vedas refer to not 33 crore Devatas but 33 types (Koti in Sanskrit) of Devatas. They are explained in Shatpath Brahman and many other scriptures very clearly.

 "Yasya Trayastrinshad Devaa Ange Sarve Samaahitaa, Skamma Tam Bruhi Katamah Swideva Sah”. ~(Atharva Veda 10-7-13)

 Which means: with God’s influence, these thirty-three (supporting devta) sustain the world.

 In Brhadaranyaka Upanishad while discussing Brahman, Yajnavalkya is asked how many gods are there. He says that there are three hundred and three and three thousand and three gods. When the question is repeated? He says, thirty three. When the question is again repeated he says, six. Finally, after several repetitions he says ONE. (Chapter I, hymn 9, verse 1)

 The number 33 comes from the number of Vedic gods explained by Yajnavalkya in Brhadaranyaka Upanishad – the eight Vasus, the eleven Rudras, the twelve Adityas, Indra and Prajapati. (Chapter I, hymn 9, verse 2)

 They are: 8-Vasu, 11-Rudra, and 12-Aaditya, 1-Indra and 1-Prajaapati.

 8. Vasus are: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Ether, Moon, Sun, and Star. They are called Vasus, because they are abode of all that lives, moves or exists. (also mentioned in Mahabharat, 1/66/18)

 11. Rudras: The ten Pranas (Praana, Apaana, Vyaana, Samaana, Udaana, Naag, Kurma, Krikal, Devadutta and Dhananjaya) i.e. nervauric forces which live in the human body. The eleventh is the human soul. These are called ‘Rudras’ because when they desert the body, it becomes dead and the relations of the deceased, consequently, begin to weep. Rudra means one who makes a person to weep. { also mentioned in Harivansha 13/51-52})

 12. Adityaas ---the twelve months of a year called Adityaas, they cause the lapse of the term of existence of each object or being. { also mentioned in Mahabharat 1/65/15-16})

 1. Indra which is also known as the (all-pervading) electricity, as it is productive of great force.

 1. Prajaapati , also called the “Yajna” because it benefits mankind by the purification of air, water, rain and vegetables and because it aids the development of various arts, and in it the honor is accorded to the learned and the wise.

 

 The master of these 33 Devatas is the Mahadeva or Ishwar who alone is to be worshipped as per 14th Kanda of Shatpath Brahman.

each of the several traits can be cultivated to their ultimate level,

one can grow to be a poet, writer, philosopher,painter, sculptor, engineer, doctor, manager, computer expert , dancer, singer, architect, leader, soldier, saint

---any traits, or many traits, or all traits in balanced proportion and grow to be a fully blossomed flower of human personality

but navigating properly, skillfully thru all the ocean of traits ,

so, first requirement is  attaining the purity of the system and then to be able to reap a crop of infinite virtues, leading to a glorious life, worldly and other worldly, iha and para , nothing overtaking any other thing out of proportion , yet all growing simultaneously to fullest stature"

hence , the need of seeds of manthra , beeja aksharas, these seeds planted in the yogakshethra sprout as those devatha mahimas in the personality"

 good" --i mean, not as good as god [since ,good=god], rather very ordinary, down to earth, plain people who live their own life, take care of family, work, and do not resort to such activities as may be found in crime file, with over intelligence, greed, cunningness, --but people who have some sensitivity to surroundings, unable to influence, be silent, cursing the evil doers, and still have a hope to see improvement, --these people may definitely commit small unavoidable mistakes like bribe a little to get their little things done,--all out of helplessness, but who will not accept bribe,  may not fight like mahathma, but who do not do illegal mining, print notes, organise goondas etc.

after attaining to that ultimate evolution, 

becoming a all knowing ''know all'', a all capable ''do all'' , all pervading ''be all'''

the scientist becoming the creator,

the creator becoming the creation,

the creation continues, 

as the ''ever changing'' new expressions 

of the ''never changing'' original ''nothing''

''nothing'' remains the unseen cause,

causing all to happen continuously non stop

and all creation becoming ever curious 

to know ''nothing'' and to be ''nothing''

and becomes ''nothing''

and 

'' nothing '' becomes ''every thing''

    Standardization in nature .

in creating the beings, nature has done standardization, 

we see a lot of common features in the basic structure of all living beings, including trees.

with hardware, [visible structure] 

and software [invisible inside} which governs its growth, sustenance and procreation

--in man , animals, insects, a body and mind,

 in trees a visible trunk, leaves etc and invisible internal system which gives the direction and energy to mobilize its life processes

a reproductive mechanism with organs

limbs to achieve required tasks

senses of perception and action

also,

 in detailing there is standardization like all have two eyes, one mouth , two ears,

but 

some flexibility also exists like some insects have 6 feet, 

depending on requirements even a deviation like a she dog has 4 pairs of breast to feed 4 at a time

however, newness is not overlooked, 

every entity has new form, though features are same

--no two men are alike, no two mango trees are alike, no two cows are alike

standardization and variety going hand in hand, 

--infinite variety yet features are standard

old and new existing without disharmony

----designs which are ancient are being created afresh with newness,

all nice doings by nature

in any age, there has been/will be a need of a guide, who/which can be in any form, till the evolution of the being reaches a point when he will not have any doubts about the basic questions of life, which is called self realized state or most evolved state

he will not be in need of books or teachers , he being himself a book, himself a teacher

proof of pudding–if the result is the enlightenment, let it happen in any way, with/without guru/book/guide/own effort or on its own.

let this be understood once that enlightenment is the end all and be all of life and it is a reality not an assumption/feeling/c​onjecture/mood

it is worth the life’s effort, priority no 1, very very serious matter, not a matter of stopping at study/debate/, it is a matter to be attained in reality.

it decides whether the life lived is a super success or utter failure, despite a thousand other attainments

1 dream is one of the 4 states of consciousness. wake, dream, sleep, turia

2 dream also means to imagine / formulate a target, a plan a course of action, to actualize, some times unrealistic or impossible , a futuristic extrapolation, overcoming the limitations of the waking state

3 day dream is semi conscious, mind trying to relax while still active on a task, a part of attention getting passive, a person driving a vehicle, may cause accident in while in day dreaming

4 dream also a synonym for unreal, mithya ,

5 dream can be a creative design exercise for a engg solution, designers see a problem and perceive different solutions , brain storm, without limitations, and select a possible earthly solution, thus invent some zig fixture tool

6 dream is a canvas for the artist to create the best of beauty / patterns / colours without really using the paper and pencils brushes, prior to actual creation

7 dream is a process to create shapes out of the mind, that serving as a universal molding material,

8 dream's closest meaning is that happens when we sleep , itis essentially a biological purification process that clears the debris in the mind, while that sweeping is taking place, all the components of the dirt assume different patterns/shape/ get connected as a sequence of events linking them to gether at random, with meaning/ without meaning , even absurd/ foolish/ holy/unholy, not having a time frame nor a fixed geo identity ,

9 dream is a reality at its own level, abstract , unclear, changing, melting, vanishing, all ripples of mind in the ocean of consciousness, it is a changing feeble unstable reality , now existing now disappearing

10 dream is like, factory owner , arranging for a cleaning. clearing/ scrapping task, on a holiday when staff is not there,

11 sleep is like , the closing down the factory on holiday , only watch man being there

12  waking is like the factory is full of activity , staff busy in their duty

13  death is like the factory is closed for ever, the owner absconding

14 turia is like the factory totally non existing for a few minutes, only the owner standing alone

15 uses and applications of dream in its multiple meanings, multiple roles are countless, most useful to most useless

16 realized man dreams?sleeps?

yes, but he witnesses the dream and sleep , and can at will continue / stop that process, and wake up if wants

17 dream is a natures gift , so all is welcome what ever happens in the dream, , since it is essentially a cleaning process we need not bother on pure /impure dreams , we do not care to see each particle/ of dust while cleaning , one gets up refreshed after dream

18, sleep is darkness, nothing exists, not even the sense of darkness, it's just not perceivable as long as one is asleep ..however it is a reality of it's own ,it is also a nature's gift , and body requires it as much as the hunger is felt for food, food is nourishing, sleep too is nourishing, one gets recharged. but sleep is known as sleep only when one comes out of it,

19 dream also a is a reality ,it is a loka, swapna loka, with all its inhabitants, man moving conversing interacting , reacting with them, involved in the processes that are happening in that loka, never he feels it is a dream , dream is known as dream only when one comes out of it

20, wake is a reality , it is a loka, bhooloka, all life processes done in wake, but dream and sleep supplementing it , man is 100 percent in trust in its existence, strives hard every moment to earn money, name fame, wants to win, wants to do a lot , never he doubts its existence , wake is known as wake only when one comes out of it

21 turia is a reality, it's the other world, paramdham, unmanifest , one exists as no body , but as pure awareness, nothing other than himself , fully alert , much more alert than the wake, he comes to know that this is the truth of existence , his existence in reality is just awareness nothing less nothing more.

after this experience is gained, his three states gain the needed refinement , he knowing that he is only an actor in the drama of the universe, and he does his role all the more perfectly , though knowing it a mithya, he is untouched unmoved by the success failure , joy sorrow, yet doing his best, he is now established in the reality firmly , and makes his journey masterfully , knowledgeably , every step guided by the light of the turia , here his wake dream sleep all will be rewarding , blissful, a rich life free from any lacks

22 it may be noted that whether sleep dream wake, nothing can be discounted nor discarded as mithya or useless, each has its role , but fullest significance of every moment can be known only with the experience of turia , hence all wise teachers have emphasized the utter need of turia experience, turia being the unmanifest basis for all the manifest universe, once this is mastered one rises to be the master of the universe, and its all lokas

23 for some few dream is a divinity. it's an ideal, probably unreachable, such a dream may take the shape of one's ista, may even come alive , either in dream while sleeping, or actually on earth plane, like vittal standing at the door of the devotee

24, for some few dream is love affair, with one glimpse of the beloved , with just a casual encounter, one's beloved having entered the heart of the lover, yet playing hide and seek, , while on earth plane both remaining away at far distant places,

it's a way of conquering time and space, and seeking the union rather attaining the ''virtual'' union with the ''dream girl '' [or ''dream boy '',]] all filled with sweetness and joy

25 dream is one's privilege, it is one's own '' reality '', beyond the belief / unbelief of others, some discarding as an absurd, since not all can comprehend. the life it self is a surd ,which can not be deciphered by the best brains .

for saints it's a wall- less existence , they reach the right souls in so many ways, dream is one way

26 saint poet potana .. ala vaikunta purambulo---and he could not write further , left ....

and god came probably in dream or in real plane, when he came back, he found the poem completed with precision and beauty ...in dream mind is able to further explore the creativity, and can write what could not be written in the wake

27, tightness/ compactly mind of the waking state gets loosened and space is created, new discoveries will be possible, those discoveries may/ may not be valid in the wake , like suddenly one gets a dream that says at one location gold deposits exists, and the whole govt machinery starts digging and finds no gold but public criticism

28 but the adventure of '' the alchemist '' dreaming for gold leads him in to the inner world, where he becomes the richest alchemist , seeing richness every where . he did pursue a dream / a desire and reached an entirely different world

 Expansion of happiness, is the purpose of life, and evolution is the process by which it is fulfilled. Life begins in a natural way, it evolves, and happiness expands. Anyone can surely avoid suffering, by knowing how to remove the root cause of all suffering, ie ignorance so long as ignorance persists suffering continues same thing applies to pandavas

Sri Krishna himself knows how to remove ignorance, he did remove his own ignorance, if there was any suffering in his life, it is just ''acting '' like on the stage/ screen he is expert in 64 art forms , jagadguru,"

daily we see on tv screen accidents horrors deaths suffering disease............all happening to ''them '', not to own kin .............we just are unmoved, neither tears, nor shock nor empathy, may be a little sympathy for a moment, on the other hand if kin dies we weep heart broken

enlightened one neither grieves nor rejoices even when closest kin dies,. or achieves great things he takes life as if as a screen phenomena, that does not mean he is heartless robot, he only lives a life with all the wisdom not to fall a prey to mishaps, self and his all kins he knows what is pain , so he takes preventive steps to shield himself and others from pain hence the utter need of enlightenment to lead a happy life"

not an issue of practicing by effort, but living that state, naturally like breathing , no effort.

''even highly spiritual people grieve''............then they have not yet reached the pinnacle of the spirituality, the one who is really enlightened will not grieve nor rejoice, he is just a witness uninvolved

He is not experiencing and expressing in his life the abundance of absolute bliss that he naturally possesses, the great absolute field of creativity and power that he has within himself. He is like a millionaire who has forgotten his wealth and status and who goes begging in the street and every moment feels the lack of money."

A good many flowers bloom and fade away in deserted places, seen by no one.

In its context in Thomas Gray's "Elegy" it is actually a metaphor for common folk who do heroic things that are never reported in the news or recorded in history. Like a precious stone unmined at the bottom of the ocean or a beautiful flower blooming in the deep woods, their work may not be seen or known, but it is nevertheless heroic. Rubies and roses are beautiful,

Simple living encompasses a number of different voluntary practices to simplify one's lifestyle. These may include reducing one's possessions or increasing self-sufficiency, for example. Simple living may be characterized by individuals being satisfied with what they need rather than want.[1][2] Although asceticismgenerally promotes living simply and refraining from luxury and indulgence, not all proponents of simple living are ascetics.[3] Simple living is distinct from those living in forced poverty, as it is a voluntary lifestyle choice.

Adherents may choose simple living for a variety of personal reasons, such as spirituality, health, increase in 'quality time' for family and friends, reducing their personal ecological footprint, stress reduction, personal taste or frugality. Others cite socio-political goals aligned with the anti-consumerist movement, including conservation, degrowth, social justice,ethnic diversity and sustainable development.

Simple living can also be a reaction to materialism and conspicuous consumption. Thorstein Veblenhad denounced the materialistic society in The Theory of the Leisure Class (1899); Richard Greggcoined the term "voluntary simplicity" as one path to simple living, in The Value of Voluntary Simplicity (1936); E. F. Schumacher argued against the notion that "bigger is better" in Small Is Beautiful (1973); and Duane Elgin carried on the promotion of the simple life in Voluntary simplicity(1981)
