How to Achieve Spiritual Happiness 

Based on my personal experience, i like to just clarify that it is not a big deal, only a few days with the master to learn rightly, and a few minutes morning , evening there on is enough for a busy professional, optionally a few minutes before lunch at the work place

but for those who want to go fast track, intensive short residential courses will help --but all without necessitating any change in style of life.

sustained regularity results in any number of positive effects on the life , which no other impositions can bring about

of course, one's choice is as per own wish , only suggestions can be given for trying out

Thanks rishi ji, after months i am hearing from u .. its so pleasure .

rishiji, according to naresh ji ... , - ganesh ji has a prominent and significant values for hindus. he was crowned as the wisest in race among the rest of deities and won th heart of his parents by revolving around them , when other stupid gods along with karthi etc wasted their time and energy running around the earth etc.

there is another yet un published anthology on ganesha by sonee ji, which question - where was the poor head less body of elephanta dumped after shiva heartlessly choped the harmless elephant child , whose head became so wise after surgery on ganesha's headless body ? the second question which the author asks - shud not we celebrate that 'wise elephant child' who was actually so wise but killed by shiva ? shud not we raise temple for that killed baby elephant who became martyr and gifted his own head o ganesha either by sacrificing or by force?

And lastly what the author asks - where is the actual chopped head of ganesha ? what fate did it met?

3 .in the passage of time, due to time and geo contexts that lighting spark got lost , where as match box was given , but the match sticks had no lighting head , yet people were told to rub the sticks , and people started pretending to rub and light the match sticks , but alas no spark can come,

so no internal light,

so only the blind rituals and idolatry, festivals and grandiose only remained and is continuing

and ganesh festival is one example

any sane advise from any great saint or great luminaries.. cannot be just grasped without that light,

soneeji is very right in conveying the harsh reality of blind practices , though in his own sweet and salty poetry . it's a great alert one must rethink on what exactly is the thing that they are doing in the name of ganesha ,

i am a ''hard to convince guy'', who does not fall easily, not at all innocent,

Nirukta Vedanga (Sanskrit: "etymology Veda-limb.") — auxiliary Vedic texts which discuss the origin and development of words; among the four linguistic skills taught for mastery of the Vedas and the rites of yagna. Nirukta relies upon ancient lexicons, nighantu, as well as detailed hymn indices, anukramani. Five nighantus  existed at the time of sage Yaska, whose treatise is regarded a standard work on Vedic etymology.

Description

There are altogether fourteen chapters in Nirukta out of which the first twelve chapters from the beginning are the main chapters and the two chapters in the end are given in the form of appendixes or supplementaries. These last two chapters can not be considered as a subsequent addition because sage Uvvat in his annotation ofYajurveda has taken excerpts from the Nirukta. Both he and sage ?Sayan? are well acquainted with the chapters of Nirukta. This goes to prove that the Nirukta is more ancient than the time when both these sages existed.

Nirukta is the commentary of Nighantu. In Nighantu are compiled the difficult and complex terms of the Vedas. There are difference of opinions regarding the actual numbers of Nighantu. Only one ?Nighantu? is available nowdays. Some scholars are of the views that Nidhantu is created by none other than Yask, but followers of ancient tradition. According to the Mahabharat (Ch-342 of Moksha dharm Shlokas 86-87) sage Kashyap is the creator of Nighantu.

Therefore going by the statement made in the Mahabharat it seems that it was the creation of Prajapati Kashyap during the Mahabharat period. There are five chapters in ?Nighantu?. The first three chapters from the beginning are called ?Naighantukand?, the fourth and the fifth chapter are called ?Naigam kand? and ?Daivatkand? respectively.

The first chapter contains words connected with nature and natural elements like earth. The second kand consists of root-words or mono-words.

The word Naigam means the impossibility to know about the exact meaning of the words and their nature.

In Daivat-kand is described the appearances of the deities and their abodes.

Nirukta tells us about the etymological expressions of words & its derivations. The meaning varies according to the etymological expressions.

The important of the Nirukta created by Yask is very great. In the very beginning of his literary composition sage Yask has illustrated about the principle of Nirukta in a scientific way. During his time the meanings of Vedas were interpreted on the basis of diverse opinions, which were as follows.

1. Adhidaivat

2. Adhyatm

3. Aakhyan Samay

4. Ethihasikah

5. Naidanah

6. Nairuktah

7. Parivrajahah

8. Yagyikah

These above mentioned various opinions shed light on the history of different contemplation?s of the Vedas.

Sage Yask had a great impact on many commentators of the Vedas in due course of time. Sage Sayan accomplished his commentaries of the Vedas after contemplating on his very system. Yask?s processes are also accepted and followed by the linguists of modern age. Being the sole representative of the Nirukta, the importance of Yasks volume is great.

Although Nirukta is itself is a commentary of the Vedas, but still, it is so complex at certain places that even the most learned commentators fail to understand its real meaning. Moreover the exact chapter of Nirukta are nor available traditionally. Along with the difficult language which the Nirukta contains its chapters are so complex at certain places that even a great annotator like Durgacharya experienced difficulty in understanding it. Because of its complex nature many scholars, before Vikram have tried their hands at writing commentaries on it.

Commentators of Nirukta

1) DURGACHARYA: Durgacharya is one of the most ancient commentator of theNirukta, but he is certainly not the first one to do so. Numerous commentaries of earlier annotators are mentioned in his volume.

2) SKAND MAHESHWAR: This commentary is very ancient and scholarly. Commentary on the Rigveda is also available.

Importance of Nirukta

The term "Nirukta" has been described by sage Sayanacharya in the following way

"ARTHAVABODHE NIRPEKSHATAYA PADJATAM YATRA TAT NIRUKTAM"

The collection of independent words which helps in understanding their meaning are called Nirukta.

Durgacharya is of the opinion that Nirukta is supreme among the Vedanga and volumes because it helps us to understand the meaning of the words. The meaning of the word is of primary importance and the word itself is of secondary importance. Grammar is nothing but the study of the words. In ?Kalps? (part of Veda treating of rituals) the proper use of the Mantras in the vedic ceremonies are described. The mantra is used only in such situation where the words contained in that mantra is capable of expressing themselves completely. Therefore ?Kalpa? too helps in gaining knowledge of mantras meaning.

Nirukta is of greater value than ?Kalpa? because it helps in understanding the meanings of words, in all of their probable permutations and combinations, where as ?Kalpa? helps to understand the meanings of mantras, which themselves consist of words.

Although the study of grammar also helps in understanding the characteristics of words but I can not interpret the meaning of words as deeply as Nirukta. Therefore the study of the Nirukta is very necessary to understand the Vedas. It is a supplementary science of Grammar.

Again a master peice of composition . yes HE is with me in my every action / every mood but some times i love to be with HIM to feel HIM and realign myself i look HIM high up in the sky , in sun and moon ,in clouds and stars , in trees and bushes , in breeze and every where in his creation i seek him nd find him.

That means we are sending him away from other things around ,

searching in some other things

waiting for him only later

but not now, in ''as is where is how is,'' state

Let us be clear, when he is every where in perfect alignment with us, but why to prefer again to realign , where is the need

can you answer

why you prefer sun moon clouds stars bushes more than kitchen vessels, football, pen, cupboard ceiling fan ?

till the enlightenment is attained aspirant should not rest, nor compromise at intermediate stages, but his fire of discontent should not be off till the goal is reached

great performers never work under fear nor when they are in pain and agony 
their performance is best in ecstasy, more a divine Ecstasy 

they are addicted to the pleasure of success and more success, and are willing to launch new adventures , bliss makes the performance most enjoyable, since attention is available to focus in fullest measure , without being wasted in excerciszes / impositions on mental discipline 

this point is to be inderstood very thoroughly 
it is a art of karma sukaushalam, skill in action, for that first requisite is arjun, yogastha, first and then kuru karmani 

it is not the other way , i hope you got the point

foremost , first is the experience of bliss, not the last 
it is unconditional
where as mental peace is necessarily dependent on bliss , hence a consequence and not a cause of bliss

ie tuning of the human being is the vital need to gain the total clarity

on complexities and mysteries abounding in life, and on god, on laws of nature, on forms, practices, systems, customs, traditions, teachings, messages,,pathis,, paths, complex human behavior, and various natural phenomena in the universe,

hence wise masters always emphasized on the various purification processes like astanga yog, by intensive practice of which the system starts gaining the purity on different levels , leading one to gain full clarity without any questions left unaddressed

Egg or hen ..seed or tree---.WHO CAME FIRST .is not a puzzle any more

masters with sufficient purity have already answered this

their purity having enabled them to go deeply down into the ultimate source of all creation,including the egg/hen or seed/tree

they could see the origin of creation with hundred percent clarity, due to their heightened purity gained thru their intense sadhana  tapasya

Yad bhaavam thath bhavathi'' is the clue

you can create a ornament of your design by knowing the art of gold-smithy, and possessing the raw material,---- pure---gold ,

by owning the field of pure consciousness, the original purest raw material, you can create a god of your design, conforming to the name, form, mahima of your specifications ,and make him to come alive before you , to play with you

it is again the quality /clarity of that creation will be in proportion to the degree of your purity , purity of body mind nervous system

every thing has originated from consciousness

Every being has the ancestry, the parentage tree , vamsha vriksha, parents , their parents and so on to the tree of life, ranging from homosap, to animal, bird, fish, germ, worm, then the first life cell amoeba

truth of the issue is that clarity of one's seeing is in proportion to one's purity

hence all the emphasis in spiritual instruction is on learning the skills of attaining, retaining, maintaining, and imparting of purity --and--- purity alone from the start to finish of life

Therefore the whole life, our this human form of life, is a chance to purify so that we may approach. At least, if we get that fifty-five, fifty degrees, fifty parts or fifty fractional portions of God's quality, even in minute quantity, then we can approach God. 

In the Bhagavad-gītā it is said that pavitraṁ paramam (BG 10.12). Pavitra,

 pavitra means purity. So "You are, Kriṣṇa, You are the supreme pure." So because we are trying by Kṛiṣṇa consciousness, we are trying to approach Kṛjṣṇa... Just like if you want to approach the sun, the same example can be given. Everything is there in the nature. If you study minutely, you become learned philosopher.

Human is in a situation where responsibilities in life are real, cannot be escaped,,

the urge to excel in performance is natural, propels one to find intelligent innovations and solutions, making him to put in his best, without minding the pain and sacrifice, 

there is need to survive in the competitive world in the chosen business and profession

also there is persistent inner urge to discover the unknown , to reach greater and greater levels of freedom and joy

consequently, there exists always a pressing need for wise decisions and timely actions, all creating a situation where his abilities are challenged, and while striving to come out successfully the individual is some times over burdened mentally and physically,and tends to be stressful in most of the cases

however, in a few cases we see a different set of individuals who are totally stress free, always with maximum joy, full of success and accomplishments.

what makes such joyful situation is that they know the art of action, rather art of living, ie they know the skill of how to act.
all spiritual pursuits are aimed at leading one to acquire that skill in leading the life , a life of ''doing less and accomplish more''
and finally this extrapolated into ''do nothing and accomplish every thing ''
this is called the art of doing in the state of nondoing ,

in this state one performs his best, achieves his peak performance, 
yet remains totally relaxed, stress-free, happy, without anxiety, hurry, worry

the simple reason is that such a person is established in his inner silence

 atheists wont stand, they do not tread on earth, they fly free and in infinite freedom

Nama roopa mahima of devathas hide the ''reality'', they are stuck in icons images idols temples, pilgrimages,rituals

Theism is based on faith, belief, hope

Bhakti/jnan both are waking states, mind is active with thoughts and images will not lead to turia, since it is beyond thoughts

Leaving aside a debate on god etc, ......................one can lead a great / noble / fulfilled life full of glorious achievements/ unimaginable contributions to oneself and the world around with the experience of this turia state, and further higher states, which provide deep insights on the nature's / life's functioning and a comprehensive grip/ mastery on mysteries and enigmas , and ability to find creative solutions and skillful applications


Skill of driving and upkeep of the vehicle makes journey fast, easy safe 
body mind nervous system must be refined and purified to lead a good life in think talk walk
but true spirituality is based on self realization , beyond all idol worship

My understanding is based on simple observation of a seed growing into a huge tree.............which will not happen overnight,... to wit, ....even if god wants it 
it takes its own time , the process happening in acc with some principles ...........which man is trying to find out in the form of biology/ zoology etc 
no god comes and saves the great devotees in accidents/ mishaps on pilgrimages to holy places

Views differ, people were saved and are being saved from accidents by alertness and wise preventive actions , yet quakes canot be prevented but seismic proof design by experts save life and property , not depending on god

Ideally, the pratimas should aid bhakti, to understand and ....own the values personified by the deity., ....and to become oneself the living deity 
ie to awaken all the inner potentialities that are enlisted in the 108 names ,,, or 1000 names, these qualities/ mahimas are contained as seeds in the stotras , once we awaken the field of consciousness , the yoga kshethra, these seeds start getting sprouted and grow ....this aspect is not known / just ignored / not understood by most of the theists, and alas, ...god continues to remains only in the temples and teeraths and statues and books and pictures

once  found what god really is, one will not get stuck with labels. icons

A case needs to be made with care, not with leaps''................using the 4 survival instincts, ie ahaar nidra bhaya maithunam [[ food, sleep, security, procreation ]] with the best discretion , not hoping/praying that some god will come and redeem when things go wrong

Atheistic way of life.is based on one's best reason, known thru own learnt lessons or from others experiences, mostly person specific, the one rule is to disbelieve the assumptions that are without reason / science that one can reach

Atheist when evolves end up being a theist 
theist when evolves ends up being a atheist

Individual every drop, and there by the whole society will be better if and only if they discover and realize truth, labels/approaches can be any or several, point is one should not get stuck up on superficiality


Sincerity is ..not ..everything

most sincere followers to a wrong approach will lead to ruin 

followers of osama/ maoism/ etc are sincere to the core, even ready to risk/ sacrifice their life, as a human bomb 

it's the holistic wisdom that is the need and that can deliver , not faith belief hope sincerity , nor all dos and donts

Theists get stuck up with name form attributes of their ista, and ''gods''

Most sincere people are standing in queues for darshan at temples , als enduring all the troubles., it's their choice and their wisdom
they will get the darshan of deity there surely
but whether all their sins/ impurities get washed??
whether one becomes a godly virtuous with that ??

do they get the most essential result the darshan of self ,?? 

but if one puts in a little effort in self realization, one comes to know that he himself the divinity, his body the abode of divinity 


In the deepest core one is just emptiness, nothing, it is self , this to be experienced if to know
once this is experienced one gains the comprehensive grasp on the functioning of universe 
it is true , i confirm 
this emptiness is the potential energy intelligence happiness, sath chith ananda

What i said needs to be grasped by experiencing that inner silence in the state of samadhi , at leat once, at least for a second, 
and then one gets convinced instantly 

with out it, all explanation / discussion becomes highly limited , we will not be able to concur

Let's acknowledge accept admire all the efforts of every theist every atheist every agnostic , all are trying to reach truth in their own chosen way as per their abilities and wisdom . they will reach the goal , all the streams reach the ocean


The great rishis poets saints pursued relentlessly to find the best and then started to teach those teachings endured thru ages 

eg, gold is raw material , placid, odd, unattractive
goldsmith creates ornaments, beautiful , valuable, in plenty shapes forms with polish shine sheen 

without gold, no ornaments , 
he may create a very good drawing of ornament , it is imagination 
but when imagination supplemented with truth , ie gold, it becomes a reality of ornament 

hence man is ever after pursuit of truth in every age in every endeavor , since it is the breath of life , most essential 
and those who found truth did not remain placid, but revelled in creating masterpieces

NOT accept ............., but reality is that there are levels of intelligence, stupid to genius, but wise one learns from every encounter

'' one particular philosophy ''.........which is precise and flawless.when pursued will give the ability to sync every line.........hence the importance of purity of teaching in the tradition 

as big as the elephant...............not any one can contribute to the inquiry on truth , though one may write/talk volumes and with super logic, hence the problem is big, how to skip substandard, and reach to the excellent teacher ..early in life 
and tendency of some of the masters is to make the followers into ''slaves '' with his strictures on code of conduct etc


Zaehner will come out of this paradigm as soon as he gets the glimpse of self realization , he will become that unifying entity which sees the right place of each line, like chemist sees the plce of each element in a periodical table 
without it, the very multitude will be flabbergasting life long


Man likes to be artist, 
to create better art he he explores for better raw materials, better medium, better canvass, which gives him limitless freedom to create best of artistic master pieces, in this pursuit he reaches for the best of every thing , he arrives at truth , 
truth is the best raw material, best medium best canvass 
now he starts creating, his all creations acquire the hue of truth, hence value, appeal, charm.


When truth is known, belief is superfluous, , they never teach belief faith hope
they show the way precisely , and the task is accomplished 

a master without having the glimpse of truth only will say believe it, 

how to distinguish??
again i repeat....self realization enables one to know and assess each teacher/ each line of the philosophy 
here i like to share my personal quest ...i tried several lines/ masters/ books and skipped very quickly and reached one line which has settled things for me ....once and for ever ...based on my own glimpse of truth , i could sync all streams , no contradictions no confusion

if one is virtuous , himself is god, he lives divinity, he will not search for a god, nothing more is required , no temples rituals, scriptures , idols icons names forms 

but how many are like that

The need of all spirituality is due to ''man is a born sinner, '' and virtues will blossom with self realization, he will not commit a sin, even as a butcher in his trade, like dharma vyaadha 

this is to be understood , many get misled in this 
sincerity is not a prerequisite sincerity is a result of self realization


Virtues are like infinite petals of one flower , the individual, all with simultaneous growth, not one at a time, not any one exclusively 

if one does not have that holistic blossoming process, of all virtues, one is likely to do mistakes and harm, like fanatics doing a sincere wto attacks accurately 

also there is a danger gross misuse of scientific discoveries and inventions of the best helpful gadgets

which god??
it is a manifestation of ganesh who is a vighna hatha and vighna kartha ., removes obstacles , creates obstacles 

how many theists can see the principle of ganesh as ''Switching On and Off''.

and its universality ....like it is a door, opening and closing, like a traffic police stopping and allowing the vehicles, ....like a water tap,..... like a speed breaker,..... like eye lids, ...and so on
Natural law is no god and has nothing of the divine about it to justify that honorific, in my philosophy. I might as well worship the weather.........fair enough, let's not make it honorific, 

why worship even weather,
instead let's know what it is, how it works, how to make its best use........these if you call a worship, it is welcome
but if you pray for weather to be favorable to you, it may not oblige 



My light switch is a god?'''.............this is a manifestation of the ''presence'' of the ''principle'' of on off''

'' your light switch '' is localized in time and space, it is one of such several ''types'' , all thru the time/ space 

principle stays, whether the switch is used or not, switch is in working condition or not , 

switch is concrete, principle is abstract unseen, its result is seen as on /off 

this principle is one of countless principles in the working of universe
one may see its ubiquitous presence, so eligible to be called as ''a god ''


 the point to be understood is 

''god'' is the total system folder, one ....ie natural law 
''gods'' are the discrete sub folders in that, ...ie different component laws of that one law 

and i wonder how many sincere devotees and expert masters know that real sum and substance that god is ...about which so much debates explanation etc goes on and the best of rituals are practiced 

once self realization happens, access to that total folder is gained, dispelling all the mystiqye


but rishis , i call them scientists found ways and means to master the weather, and they did proclaim ...kaale varshathu parjanya......it rains in time.....when they said it is based on their findings and knowledge of what cotrols the weather , they are on a firm footing , not just empty prayer
if atheism/ theism/ agnosticism can lead the human to such mastery, then all is definitely welcome / worthwhile 
but alas, in life around no such skills are seen , except meteorological dept predicting the weather, but unable to command it / direct it/ control it

engg has several principles, engineers do not adore them as deities, but make the appropriate use of these in their designs

but mechanics are told only how to use a spanner with a little training

5 man on his death bed or in coma, still is alive, though partially alive, or close to dead , but when died it is death 
in life and death , in ''on and off''', in light and darkness, in 1 or 0 , there is a great difference , 

in 0 there are no options 
in 1 there are countless options ranging from seed to tree , spark to floodlight


Ultimate zoom in.......seeing the life processes closest to reality , like we go from metal to molecules to atoms to nuclear levels , particle physics/ force field matter fields then to the unified field , the consciousnes, we may refer to relevant scientific data , i shall provide some links

If God does not interfere in our life, why we to bother about him / why bother himA conscious God is non-existent....god is created by man, other beings have no god concept , they simply live happily

1 visible, universe , a factory running , alive with all activities
2 invisible, basic laws running the universe, silent unseen rule book

Myth aspect is , the visible universe, ever changing, of momentary existence, a momentary reality.......note.......it's a reality, truly existing at that moment 

truth aspect is , the invisible basis, never changing, of eternal existence

Ceo is on foreign tour,not possible to find him and talk to him , he made the manual and went on his errands 
it's the system that governs . very few employees have access to the system manual that underlie the running of factory defining all the rules and procedures
they are just busy in doing what is assigned

Ceo returns in the virtual form of ''updates / revision'' of the system manual
