All expression /media/modes of expression , aids of communication , arts acting, dance poetry prose , movie drama-----is to bring out the glory of ''purusha'' in as many/ as much of detail and as much of nearness of truth as possible acting / dance/ singing are highly evolved art forms where man himself is the medium to express , and expresses the purusha more truly the excellence in expression simply conveys the degree of purusha he lives in his manifest, prakriti, his body mind organs more nearer , richer one expresses the purusha in him, the audience gets inspired, exhilarated, the purpose is to take the audience the receivers to a higher level of reality thru

we are his manifestations, but prakrithis, pra krithis refabricated, rebuilt , we are not purusha fully , as is with different degrees of his perfection inbuilt in each jeevas , but endowed with the ability/spur to evolve limitless to his full stature

for example in dance, the artist expresses the intricate nuances thru his mastery over his body , that is his purushas mastery over his prakrithi

at temple festivals, each artist brings out the glory of purusha in his movements mudras, facial expressions---in as much high as possible and takes the audience to his loka, the loka of that god --though for a while , thru his dance song rhetoric, inviting the purusha into himself and spreading his presence in the audiencethat is how one takes the audience to god / s , and to there world/ loka"

potential is there but few actualize potential hidden if you are able to actualize fully yes you are purusha hence kishan is param purusha"

"We can--- never ---- find a path in our lives through some loss ; a downfall in buisness , loss of loved ones or seperation in relationships ; all can lead to few experiences only to cause suffering thru ignorance, confusion, chaos, unrest, tension, misery but ------never -----to soul searching ------nor---------to finding more meaning to our life.but if you are really serious, if you really mean business finding true path,--- easy, short, wise,----- with no wasted moves, ----sure to reach the destination is possible only thru guru guidance

if not it is lifelong wandering, blundering, wondering, meaningless, aimless, talking , reading, listening, searching , lecturing, preaching teaching, blogging, dialoging , eating sleeping procreating but never ending, never reaching the goal think serious , go forward . upwards do not get into circles , it's all waste of effort, waste of time, surely a wasted life

   true communication--is it possible?

what is perceived by senses is less than what is
what is conveyed is less than what is perceived
what is received by the recipient is less than what is conveyed
what is understood is less than what is received

there are infinite parameters beyond the capacity of the means of communication.

more so on matters beyond the sense perceived

hence speeches, dance, drama, mudra, theatricals, literature, sculpture, drawing, painting, even photo, video, cinema

yet all these are inadequate

pandit ravisankar sitarist said '' i point out to stars. they look at my finger''

the master is at a different level, the audience at some other.

sitar is his entity. with which he communicates and sitar communicates with him

yet such are inadequate.

saints that is why have chosen an entity called god with whom they can communicate heart open.

meerake prabhu
purandara vithala
sangameshwara
......are those entities self referral, best to address their feelings with.

words fail, grammar gets shattered

poetry flows

poetry fails

song sets in
thaal accompanies

song loses sense of meaning in the raag, aalaap
it is just a flow of sound

even the tune finds it self inadequate

silence takes over

self is fulfilled with its listener the same self

what it says what is heard self knows alone, it is sure a best message.

self talking to itself within in silence finds the best way of communication

intelligent way of communication. “mookam karothi vaachaalaam”

intelligent way of communication.

“mookam karothi vaachaalaam”

the knowledge and experience of creative intelligence makes one transact his activity with least consumption of energy.

one communicates in a better way, such that energy loss is minimum. ‘mookam karothi’ does not mean he stops communication.

he does it all the more effectively, may be in a codified way , or , still better dakshinamurthy way.

Listening has vital role

Listening has vital role in the process of communication.

yes, many conflicts are due to inability to give and receive even the best of the intentions

but

true communication–is it possible?

what is perceived by senses is less than what is

what is conveyed is less than what is perceived

what is received by the recipient is less than what is conveyed

what is understood is less than what is received

there are infinite parameters beyond the capacity of the means of communication.”

a key point in the art of listening,is that human has really lost god, and is searching in futility every where ,

miserably missing his very presence right here and now

in the every day human interactions , lacking Love

I searched elsewhere for god

who is not there in the temples of stone and mud

missing to see the friendliness and love

that is right here amongst us

Where is nandan, where is bandhan

every thing is within us

without knowing what lies within

in the laughs , in the sobs , of children

are heard the raagas tunes,

and the strings of sweet songs

about sound

silence speaks—anaahath naad

anaahath adds beauty to aahath

we hear aahath naad

we miss anaahath

with anaahath perceived, all sound is beauty”

“In the art of listening, is really the awakened divinity inspiring this super poem, by jandhyala papayya shasthri, ”karuna sri”, raising the sensitivities and humanism, it is a great classic, the last stanza , sums up

Here the poet a great devotee, with the best intention of doing puja to shiva, tries to fetch some flowers. and the true spirituality wakes him up not to pluck flowers,

and he flows in great sympathy empathy ,

and the result is this great poem

If human being rises to higher levels of spirituality, he is sure to behave with more tenderness to the creatures,

and thus fulfills the true purpose of all the rituals and spirituals

A free rendering in English of Karunasree Jandhyala Papaih Sastry’s Poem “Pushpa Vilapam” by Sri Kandregula Amba Prasadarao

FLOWERS’ LAMENT

Standing at a flowering plant

Nimbly pulling a stalk aslant,

Ere I, to pluck, putforth my nail,

All flowers raised a piteous wail.

“Takest thou our life?” –

Abashed Was I

Something then flashed In my mind

– a weird figment,

As a poem – “The Flowers’ Lament”.

During our short span of Life we have embellished

The species of mother – creeper that bore and cherished –

Swinging in her arms with gay abandon, shut eyes

When end comes – happily fade away at her cool toes.

We smear perfume and welcome breeze,

Feast with tasty honey the visiting bees,

Cause comfort and joy to the eye

Of people like you – free tho’ are we –

Tarry! pluck us not with selfish intent,

Would you tear the child from its parent!

Strangling us with wool and rings,

Piercing bosoms with needles and strings,

Adorn with us your braids fancy-

Alas! ye women are sans mercy.

While our priceless and innocent,

Delicate, nectarean and fragrant

Life, for you is sacrificed and frayed

Withered and laid utterly destroyed –

Ravishing our youth, sweep with broom –

Alas ! Is there morality among the Human Race ?

In the land of the Buddha thou art born

of innate love thou, perhaps, art shorn

Oh, murderer, who slayeth beauteous charm,

Defiled is thy birth in human form.

please see the nobility of King Solomon who was able to listen to the woes of the Ants, and how he responded, quite in contrast with all our great vvip leaders, not caring / not willing to see the ground realities

last stanza is a punch

OUT from Jerusalem

The king rode with his great

War chiefs and lords of state,

And Sheba’s queen with them;

Comely, but black withal,

To whom, perchance, belongs

That wondrous Song of songs,

Sensuous and mystical,

Whereto devout souls turn In fond, ecstatic dream,

And through its earth-born theme

The Love of loves discern.

Proud in the Syrian sun, In gold and purple sheen,

The dusky Ethiop queen

Smiled on King Solomon.

Wisest of men, he knew

The languages of all

The creatures great or small

That trod the earth or flew.

Across an ant-hill led

The king’s path, and he heard Its small folk, and their word

He thus interpreted:

“Here comes the king men greet

As wise and good and just,

To crush us in the dust

Under his heedless feet.”

The great king bowed his head,

And saw the wide surprise

Of the Queen of Sheba’s eyes

As he told her what they said.

“O king!” she whispered sweet,

“Too happy fate have they

Who perish in thy way

Beneath thy gracious feet!

“Thou of the God-lent crown,

Shall these vile creatures dare

Murmur against thee where

The knees of kings kneel down?”

“Nay,” Solomon replied,

“The wise and strong should seek

The welfare of the weak,”

And turned his horse aside.

His train, with quick alarm,

Curved with their leader round

The ant-hill’s peopled mound,

And left it free from harm.

The jewelled head bent low;

“O king!” she said, “henceforth

The secret of thy worth

And wisdom well I know.

“Happy must be the State

Whose ruler heedeth more

The murmurs of the poor

Than flatteries of the great.””

‘’koi sunthaa nahee khuda ke siva’’

poor is the listening since khuda is missing in the listener

khuda is lost since most of us do not really know that khud hee khuda hai ,

so, conversely,it amounts to say , a good listener is god

listening is a godly virtue

universe is rich with knowledge

every one, every being , every thing, every process has stories to tell, messages to give, lessons to teach , at every moment, thru every means of communication,

but alas , how many are really able to listen and receive,

digest and benefit, relish and enjoy

surely there are very very blessed few

human is full of care, anxiety, hurry, worry, clouded with his own cluster of thoughts, reactions, plans, intentions, aspirations hopes, desires, imaginations, images,

yet, there are sensitive souls who could listen to the lament of flowers while plucking,  there are souls who listened to the ants.

for some even the trivialest signals make meaning
