i am so ''great'' that i pointed out spelling mistake done by my teacher

i am so ''great'' that i pointed out spelling mistake done by my teacher

he wrote ''maintainance'' instead of ''maintenance''

he was flabbergasted, and thanked me to have corrected him

now i can relate this little incident
with

vridha shishya, guror yuva==older one is shishya, the younger is guru == this is in shankara's ''dakshina moorthi sthothram ''

what is the message?

truth is always new and young, and valid,
not dependent on who said , irrespective of their age, attainments

any one may commit an error
but the wise one corrects himself and comes on to the right track, thanking the critics for being dare and frank in their approach, not to remain in delusion ignoring the the individual's mistakes , however great one may be

Truth has two aspects mainly

Truth has two aspects mainly

1 universal, nonchanging

2 local time space, ever changing, different to each individual in every context

and the full truth =1+2

it has infinite dimensions

May the Sanatana Dharma be preserved forever!

May the Sanatana Dharma be preserved forever!
May the entire world be united by the bond of True Love!!
aspirations are high class

what is your practical suggestion to achieve this
what is the next step you propose to take

------other than writing one more good blog

“Naham Karta Hari Karta, Hari Karta Hi Kevalam” -------------- How would a sword know whom to kill unless the hand that is holding it does not decide ..... :)

No answer this , it's escape route

you are the master of the universe,

the hand that is holding everything,

the mind that decides all things

do not underestimate yourself

you are no less

Surrender to almighty does not mean impotency
inaction, evading responsibility, passing the buck and relaxing

Klaibyam maa

----arjun, this unmanliness does not befit your stature

what was kishan? sarathi controlled by arjun, working under his command

also

uttara kumara is the charioteer, and brihannala , a shikhandi, is the sarathi

who took the lead
is it the master or the servant

Sanathan dharm is no cowardice, it's a great responsibility, demanding every commitment to take the humanity and the universe to higher and higher levels of existence , stop not till the goal is reached, the goal the ultimate absolute level

Take the entire responsibility on your head , look not for help from outside
once you take the responsibility , the help and resources rush to you, without your search or need for asking others

You are the matha pitha bhratha bhandu mithra guru devatha the protector the savior the sustainer the provider the care taker

sanathan dharma is not just reading and writing reciting and singing the scriptures

it's the heroic living ideal for the heros

and to be realized in actual life the sum and substance of it , and thus become a light unto yourself and to all others

Sanathana dharma, if not digested with proper guidance in the light of self realization is likely to be misunderstood and takes one to a degenerate life of no action, discretion, weakness, dullness, suffering and early death , in the name of surrender

true surrender empowers one to the level of almighty himself, enables one to dynamic action, resulting in the best good to one and the universe in every stroke

he will not waste his life waiting, in wanting the superpower , to come and do what he has to , what he can do, thus making him a useless worthless guy fit for nothing , except big talk about god and greatness of his great powers

Vivekananda Silently i pray

 Vivekananda

Silently i pray
he reached me when,
he preached me what ,
how, where, and why
I do not know,
but
unasked like rain from sky ,
unanticipated like a thunder from cloud
the tiny book, in my pocket
thus spake , who ,in my heart
a lion, brave in ochre robes
a saint , with a stick that does not hit
with closed eyes, seeing the universe
with words , swaying the worlds
here is a man living short,
staying for ever
his words are live,
he stays in words

Nature's Packaging

Nature's Packaging

one expert was speaking on materials, methods, preservatives, shatter proofing, labeling and a lot more details, of packaging technology, himself in well dressed, rather well packaged with suited booted coated and tied tight at the neck, ...it was a sulky and sweating day though.

Presentation was nice, he was sincerely teaching what he was told to, by his institute
.
ok, i was listening and learning.

just a wind blew, some noise from moving branches of trees, distracted me i looked outside thru the window of lecture hall

---now i thought that lecture halls must have windows, to allow fresh breeze and fresh view, new windows of learning.

one look at the coconut tree took me away from lecture, due apology to the faculty, and i was dwelling on the package of coconut by the tree, tender, water-filled, core, with space, may be its own preservative, a hard shell, covered with resilient fiber, with a green skin, hanging on the tree as a bunch, as if a marketing attracting the users, at the unreachable height

at appropriate time delivering to the earth, its unique and single customer, drop testing, proving that the product is safely packed, and handing over, for distributing to the customer in original sealed pack, for use at his own wish now or later after 6 months--but in impeccable purity and freshness--of course, with a limit of shelf life.

mind came back to lecture, teacher was winding up , thanking us all for a patient listening.

i felt i learnt some lessons

thoughts continued, on orange ,mosambi, anar, with mini sachets, packed in to sphere nicely divided by cells, overall with thick skin, with attractive colors.

i dwelled on rice, maize, sugarcane ...endless variety, appropriate technology, nature implementing without a lecture from a institute faculty

Naked?----- beings in creation

Naked?----- beings in creation

homosap dresses himself nicely, grandly, beautifully,

but necessarily, as a requirement of civil behaviour

than a requirement against nature's ravages like heat, cold, rain

what about other beings?

yes, god is kind enough to provide a natural clothing to all including homosap.

trees have a crust self expanding, drying, breaking, but rejuvenating

all beings have a over all skin,

additionally ,

sheep has wool, elephant a thick skin,

horse, cow, monkey have hair,

birds and fouls have feathers

tortoise, snails have hard ones

oh, all have underwears?

---the five sheaths

--annamaya, pranamaya ....5, pancha koshas

so none is naked really,

otherwise,

we might expose inside organs like lungs, heart, digestive track etc.

though none of us may be totally happy with our dress,

let us be thankful to nature to have provided us with necessary clothing unasked,

leaving us naked never

kaupin dharan is nearest to be one with all creatures in nature., may be most civilized?

in contrast

with a dress , tress, head wear, with elaborate shirt, pant, suit, coat, boot, tie, socks, muffler, cap, hat, rumal, pagadi, saree, choli, chunni,

as if human is a mobile shopping mall

quo vadis?

is it all required really?, what for ?

spirituality thy name is simplicity

Vidya Babla Replies to Rishi Vasanth

You are absolutely right 'spirituality thy name is simplicity', but so called modern civilization has weakened man's body and mind, so the need for extra protection and also to maintain etiquette and ethical norm in society.

Rishi Vasanth Replies to Vidya Babla

No being wears a footwear, some how they have acquired ability to walk over all thorns, stones, sharp objects , but human cannot dare, he has become weak

he lost ability to fly, swim, requires tools, tackles paraphernalia ----------and we feel we have progressed

i saw a mba graduate in bombay, in the hottest summer , sweating, yet wearing full suit, with coat tie

can we not think originally

can we not dare to be reasonable, overcoming impositions?

Vidya Babla Replies to Rishi Vasanth

Facing and enduring the elements of nature is becoming more and more difficult. so man has invented many things/means for protection and survival. Impositions have become part of human life, more so in developed countries.

rishi vasanth

Glory to simplicity!, but puzzled i am,

is simplicity an end or a means to an end.

if it is a means, then what is the end

if it is an end, then what is the means

i hope i am not complicating

if enlightened souls clarify this ,

i shall be grateful simply

Vidya Babla Replies to Rishi Vasanth

Simplicity is both, a means and the end.

Rishi Vasanth Replies to Vidya Babla

Brilliant answer and true , i am flabbergasted.

so the message is clear

ie become simple to be simple

ie 1 become simple, save time, effort, energies, resources, money, ,

avoid all possible unnecessary add-ons and attractions and distractions and create enough space in life for sadhana, with a simple plain minimum clothing, simple food, simple dwelling place, alone preferably, devoting all attention for spiritual advancement

2 consequently reach the goal of utter simplicity, being simple in every aspect , simplicity becoming a natural way of life, without an imposed code of practice, yet finding no lack of any kind, a state of perfect fulfillment, needing not to bother anything in life, as simple as shiva, though a bhiksha pathi, smashana vasi, is really he is eeshvara, , vishveshvara , the lord of the universe

happy that my enigma is now cleared, thank you

Vidya Babla Replies to Rishi Vasanth

I am pleased, you have very clearly and meaningfully expounded the topic, what you have said is the fact. But at the same time it is not easy to follow all this in one's life; to give up even a small possessions is difficult, Maya creates many obstacles

Thanks for your complimentary remarks though it is not me but through me by Him..

Rishi Vasanth

Akkamahadevi yavara pravachanagalu

People,

male and female,

blush when a cloth covering their shame

comes loose

When the lord of lives

lives drowned without a face

in the world, how can you be modest?

When all the world is the eye of the lord,

onlooking everywhere, what can you

cover and conceal?

Akkamahadevi lived this state of no body consciousness

Vidya Babla Replies to Rishi Vasanth

Thank you for telling us about Akkamadevi.

State of no body consciousness is beyond worldly persons.

Rishi Vasanth

A true ascetic, akkaMahadevi is said to have refused to wear any clothing—a common practice among male ascetics, but shocking for a woman.

Legend has it that due to her true love and devotion with God --her whole body was protected by hair.

Swamini Atmaprajnananda SaraswatiReplies to Rishi Vasanth

I went through in the net abt her. Why is she claimed by the Lingayats and not Vira Shaivas.

Rishi Vasanth Replies to Swamini Atmaprajna..

Why is she claimed by the Lingayats and not Vira Shaivas.?

---i have no specific answer

but generally, the saints speak from their level of consciousness

the followers by default will be at different levels of consciousness,

hence, there will arise different sects/cults

at other extreme, some dismiss their teachings as mad/meaningless

hence in any guru parampara. emphasis is laid on preserving the purity of teaching

Swamini Atmaprajnananda SaraswatiReplies to Rishi Vasanth

I some what see now.

Rishi Vasanth Replies to Swamini Atmaprajna..

Akkamahadevi

She is a prominent figure in the field of female emancipation and a person of mystical vision. A household name in Karnataka, she had said that she was a woman only in name and that her mind, body and soul belonged to

Lord Shiva

Her poetry exhibits her love for Chenna Mallikarjuna and harmony with nature and simple living.

She Sang:

For hunger, there is the village rice in the begging bowl,

For thirst, there are tanks and streams and wells

For sleep temple ruins do well

For the company of the soul I have you, Chenna Mallikarjuna
