Ultimate is self-ness, first , last 
however much a being expands to be universal, it has to be it is bound to be within the allowable limits of his mind body system which is a shell, in reality

Every being has something delicate inside, soft, non material, not having dimensions, with 0 density, colorless, tasteless odorless, so it is infinity in fact , a sky like , free, but 
it is packed in some form, shape, enclosed within the boundaries of skin/hide/ bark/peel/fibre/crust/ shell-----and necessarily made to live and grow within its limits ---tho to limitlessness.
essence is , our life is individualistic , with ''the virtue of selfishness'' [ book b ayn rand ]
quantified, yet having possibilities of growth in quantum jumps

Possible to stretch limits, but up to a limit 
in fact every impulse is to stretch limits, to grow to expand, to multiply , and spread , span the entire universe, as early as possible, as easily as possible, looking for, creating avenues, opportunities , to grow and grow to infinite level

And in the process, as a byproduct, not the main product, ---the growth of the environ also is designed to happen , as a consequence of it, but not the aim of it, the main aim being self-ness , self interest, self preservation, self evolution

Every realized soul has gone thru the journey of self evolution first, ----not selflessness first ----after he attains to a great level., the environ around him gets the influence of his personal growth and starts to respond to his wishes, 
in the evolved state, what can be his wish, tan to share maximum joy to maximum number of people , earliest . his activities spread, not because of his selflessness , but because of his selfish desire to do maximum good to people , and since he is now filled with joy, it starts to overflow

not the empty or the one with contents scanty. 
empty hands cannot serve

Empty hearts cannot share 
abundance only can share abundance with others 
so first 
one self to become the best, most evolved, most enriched, most enlightened, most fulfilled, most happy, most healthy, most knowledgeable, most powerful, most influential 
and then 
start overflowing, flooding ,

to engulf all in the universe ,

in the waves of joy, in the weaves of love ,

and convert it a heaven
