it has diffrent answers in different perspectives.

since, Things will be comprehended best in ultimate perspective, aim to get at the best perspective , 
which no one can really provide on a platter, 
which one can avail thru only direct experience 
,thru one's sincere efforts 

my answer will be from my perspective , so will never appeal to others, since perspective differs.
so it is waste

a better answer is

a------do what you can as is , extend all help to all , always , as directed by your inner voice.
and leave others to similarly do as per their best wisdom 

b------do all you can to get more and more enlightenment, with all seriousness and priority, 
and then live a life of extreme refinement in every aspect, with the best perspective at hand

Things will be comprehended best in ultimate perspective
if perspective is poor things appear as poorshow 
giving rise to unending quiz after quiz.
so aim to get at the best perspective , 
which no one can really provide on a platter, 
which one can avail thru only direct experience 
,thru one's sincere efforts 
preferably guided by the best master. 
but one has to tread his journey alone , 
despite all the help .
